One has come across many heart wrenching stories with regards to living with the Sickle Cell Disorder. The story of Israel Ajayi, who was an orphan abandoned by his stepmom who was looking for an opportunity to dump him somewhere. We found Israel dealing with malnutrition, where we at SAMI tried to help and he was improving. However despite our effort to help Israel we unfortunately lost him due to family negligence in their care. This is one of a number of cases we face due to family abandoning their child who is a youth and as in most cases who are over aged to be accommodated in an orphanage
