Commenting on her passing on her Facebook wall, Toyin Adesola, Executive Director and Founder of SAMI stated: “I woke up this morning to a call, not expecting to hear the news I heard. Even then I was hoping it’s one of those stupid fake news people try to create because I just could not believe it’s true. In fact, I still don’t want to believe it’s true. But as each tribute comes in I come to my reality that it is. That you left us too soon. I remember chatting you up IG planning to call you but I could not get through at the time not knowing that was the last time. My darling Aburo Tosyn, you are indeed an epitome of what a warrior should be. Full of life and bent on achieving all you wanted. You did this and more. You touched people’s lives and inspired many. Words fail but I knew I would do you a disservice if I didn’t say anything. My prayer is that the Lord will comfort your hubby, Funke and the family that they might have strength in him at this time. Sun re o Tosyn Bucknor (Area Mama, Voice of Lagos, Contradiction, Speech Girl). You fought a good fight. You have gone to a better place.”
